This Is Our Story
During a trip to Kenya, our family visited Oloshaiki Manyatta, a village in the Maasai Mara where we chanted, jumped and felt a deep sense of healing. As a parting gift, our host gave our daughter the name “Nashipai”, meaning “happiness” in Maasai. The NASHIPAI EXPERIENCE was born from those conversations: a vehicle to bring joy to conscious travelers, to benefit local women, girls and the environment, and to elevate women’s leadership in East African tourism.
What Makes Us Special

Unique Curated Experiences
Unlike many African tour operators that operate from headquarters in overseas, we partner with local award-winning tour operator Elizabeth Mwakajila to offer handpicked adventures curated with local knowledge, including land and "blue" safaris and cultural tours with a local twist.

Luxury African style
From gorgeous lodges communities nestled in the savannah, to lavish beach accommodations, we specialize in luxury accommodations, lush surroundings, and African architecture and design. Our local connections benefit Nashipai travelers by providing discounts that make the extraordinary accessible.

Connecting Communities
We partner with local grassroots organizations led by East African women to support women's and girls' health, food security and education, and protect the environment. Travelers on our affinity tours have the option to visit our community partners and see their powerful community work in action.

“Our journeys away from home have their purpose. A will stronger than our own sends us on these journeys. If we do not someday leave home, then home will leave us.”
